This page is a place for me, Derek Ashley Thomas, to let off a little steam as I wander around the world doing … science or something (“For the sake of science!”).
The beginning of my travels wasin Dortmund working at the Institute for Analytical Science for the entire month of March 2008. Now that that’s over, I’m sitting in Charlottesville, Virginia working for the UVA Computational Materials Group! Next, I’m headed to graduate school at the University of Tokyo in … you guessed it, Tokyo, Japan.
Hopefully, I’ll take plenty of pictures for your enjoyment and notify you of any interesting conversations or spot hilarity.
